A wise artist once said, "The truth is, I need help, but I just can't imagine who I'd be if I was happy." It's common to feel more comfortable in a state of depression, anxiety, or stress when these have been your only companions. Sarah works to help people overcome the need to stay in the familiar feelings of depression and work toward discovering their true self; the person that can and will be happy.

Sarah specializes in working with mood disorders, addiction, and trauma. With a wide variety of experience, Sarah uses an ecclectic approach to personalize treatment and create a safe space for healing. She is an LGTBQ+ ally and enjoys connecting with clients within this community. Sarah can support you on a journey to find and understand the parts of you that seem to keep you stuck.

Jake Dastrup, AMFT

Jake provides patience, safety and awareness while encouraging clients to step into and accept the discomfort and commitment necessary for deep healing and change. He believes that feeling truly understood and completely worthy of love is at the core of what motivates people to change. Additionally, he believes that change requires a willingness to move compassionately toward discomfort rather than avoiding it. He knows from his own experience that a life of vitality, meaningful connection, peace, and joy is not free from the messiness of struggle, but is discovered in the midst of it.

Jake is not naive when it comes to mental suffering and relational distress. Due to his own experience of mental suffering and complex relational trauma, he embodies genuine empathy for his clients and understands the courage and effort it takes to change and heal. In his personal search for healing over the years, he has discovered wisdom in a variety of philosophies and approaches relating to the mind, personality, spirituality, relationships, and the body. He is Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Hypnotherapy-informed and employs these techniques to target the deeper subconscious parts of the mind. By doing so, he helps clients change deep-seated core beliefs that traditional talk therapy may be unable to reach. Additionally, he is in the process of becoming a certified yoga instructor and enjoys incorporating the body in the healing process. He partners with clients to discern which approaches will be most relevant to their individual needs and hopes.

He believes that relationships provide the greatest opportunities for growth and approaches change through the lens of better understanding the truth about being in relationship with oneself and others. He works with kids, teens, adults, and couples struggling with highly sensitive personality (HSP), anxiety, self-worth issues, complex and acute trauma, unwanted pornography use, faith crisis, and suicidal ideation.

Jeremiah is extremely committed to help people relate to themselves and their past experiences in a more compassionate way. He specializes in helping people who have been through traumatic experiences and relationships understand the complex emotional effects those experiences have on their current distress. By learning to understand present emotions, Jeremiah has found that these emotions guide the direction that therapy needs to go in order to achieve healing from the past, and flourishing in the present. He utilizes EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, Self-Compassion and other modalities to tailor an approach to therapy that fits each client’s needs.
